The Nedira Foundation is a non-profit-making association helping handicapped or seriously ill children to a better life. Operations or other treatment is procured for these children.
The Foundation has its seat in Malmö. Voluntary work is completely fundamental and thus the foundation has no costly administration. All collected funds are used to assist the children.
Most of the Nedira Foundation funds have been supplied by private individuals but of course private enterprises could also be of help.

One of the most upsetting cases that we take care of right now is that of Li Wen Jing, affected by scoliosis and polio. She is a sixteen-year-old girl from an orphanage in China and has been examined by Swedish doctors who confirm that her severe scoliosis would be improved considerably by an operation.
Acke Ohlin, senior physician at the University Hospital MAS in Malmö, has studied her documents and is of the opinion that Li Wen Jing will be significantly better after an operation. In order to be able to breathe Li must continually wear a corselet. This is in itself a nuisance.
